Who we are
As young East Africans we have grown up in the digital era. Our team varies from colleagues who have lived and worked in other parts of the world, gaining experience and knowledge of global markets and needs to those who have always been based at home and are mainly self-taught.
what we are doing
Our aim is to help build the creative and technical industry, in Africa, develop talent and create job opportunities. The internet connectivity improvements we have seen over the last decade have open doors to many on the continent. Today we have access to educational and training materials as well as clients and jobs from other parts of the world.
Our studio can offer work at very competitive rates that benefit clients abroad while providing a good living to workers her in Africa.
why we are doing this
Africa has a young population. As they grown there will be more of a demand for jobs. We want to create ways for people to support themselves and their families without the needs for charity.
We love creative and technical work as it helps solve many issues the world has while also being fun and lucrative.
We can provide more digital than physical jobs allowing our workers to “cybertravel” anywhere in the world and interact with anyone they choose.
how we plan to do it
Our initial goal was to open a CGI studio in Kampala, Uganda to kickstart the project and work with our first UK-based client. We did this in 2018.
The aim for 2019 is to work with more clients, enabling us to hire and train more talent. We envisage our alumni leaving to open their own businesses as we foster their replacements. Healthy competition is the best way to improve.
We also want to host festivals and workshops to spread the word and network with inquisitive people.
By 2020 we hope to open official training facilities with they help of partners and patrons. Using Uganda as a seed we want to grow throughout the region and continent.
