Nike is typically ahead of the game when it comes to uniforms and sneakers. As it turns out, Nike is also already looking at the future of the game of basketball.

For the 2015 NBA All-Star Weekend, Nike is turned New York City into "The City of Zoom." Perhaps the coolest part of the transformation was the Zoom City Arena, which was "a state-of-the-art basketball facility featuring a full-sized LED basketball court that brings graphics and video to life."

Since 1842, Fabergé has delighted some of the world’s most refined clientele with its creations. Carl Fabergé was especially inventive with his hidden surprises and personalised gifts at Easter. We wanted to capture that spirit for Fabergé’s takeover at Harrods.

Fabergé commissioned AKQA to create a trompe l’oiel for their centrepiece window installation and we helped them deliver it. In collaboration with Physical Pixels and Millington Associates, we engineered three over-sized thaumatropes - a popular Victorian toy, normally hand-twirled, that blends two images into a simple animation. 

Movember wanted to get the message out about their research into prostate cancer. We collaborated with director Dom del Torto to produce a film with composited animations.

Adidas came up with a new way to reduce waste while cutting fabric. We helped Dom del Torto to create an animation that got the message across.

NHSA is using Go Smart to encourage parents to keep their children active in body & mind. The website helps you to find activities ranging from simple solo play to group activities to songs and rhymes.

We worked with illustration team Peskimo (of Alphablocks fame) to create a delightful and useful fun website for all platforms.

To increase digital membership for Arsenal FC in Indonesia we created a new site that lets users design and create their own official fan art. Once the artwork had been created and customised users could then go on to share the artwork across social media.

As a bonus users also received an image of Arsene Wenger holding up their own personalised team shirt with their name on.

Reebok created an app to manage users' workouts and training.  It hosted several bespoke videos from trainers and needed an animation to explain it to the audince.

Digital design & UX

Working in-house, with the Burberry team, we helped define the UX of their new online platform.  It was an end-to-end supply chain tool used from procurement to sales.

An entire social network which allows each Burberry employee to communicate with one another across the globe. The site needed to work across multiple devices ranging from mobile to desktop. 

Deacon Blue asked Dom del Torto, of Big Animal, to create a music video for their single Turn. We collaborated on film and post-production.

In 2013 we helped created the online experience for the most ambitious global campaign for Lynx (Axe) to date – to send guys into space. Because after all, in the girl hunting stakes, nothing beats an astronaut! The fully connected campaign included web build, TV, press, digital, click farm, online and events.

Lloyds bank wanted an animation that talked about investing money abroad. We worked with Big Animal's Dom del Torto and artist Katherine Cox to create this stop-motion piece using real British coins and paper cut-out models.

We worked with our friends at the International Planned Parenthood Federation to create an animated film for Vision 2020.  It described the U.N.'s Millennium Development Goals and how sexual rights were part of their considerations.

St Giles Trust helps people get back into normal life after returning from prison.  They also advise family on their rights and how to cope with life during this difficult time. Spective edited and designed the treatment for promotional films produced by their agency, Mediorite.

In 2009 Volkswagen collaborated with the BBC, Film 4 and other partners to celebrate timeless design and launch the new Polo. 

Timelessness was the inspiration behind the design of the new Volkswagen Polo. To mark its arrival, Volkswagen created the Timeless 50, a definitive list that celebrates that elusive style and quality in the worlds of fashion, design, music and television.

We helped them build the online experience that tied together all the iconic choices the public could vote for. 

Girls Not Brides is a charity that campaigns to stop under-age marriage around the world. They asked us, and illustrator Peter Beatty, to create a film that explained their cause.
